Taking a Spin Through Europe

Taking a Spin Through Europe

I decided to try my hand at making a video to document our amazing adventure through Europe.

Despite the terrible recent events happening on that side of the world, THIS is how I continue to remember Europe. Hopefully it gives you a glimpse into our perspective of a few of the incredible sights we had the pleasure of experiencing.

I truly believe it is imperative for every American to pop out of this bubble we live in to see some SERIOUS history, art, architecture, landmarks, cuisine, and various unique cultures that are engrained into the European's way of living. It changed how I see the world and allowed me to become more tolerant, understanding, and appreciative of the gifts that come from these countries.

Enjoy! (oh, and keep in mind, I'm not a video editor by any means... this was all shot on an iPhone and a selfie stick, edited in iMovie... so be gentle)

Stay tuned for a much longer post with too many pictures and the insights I gathered throughout our 24 day trip!

New Website Launched

My greatest passion in life is drumming. It has provided me with an outlet to express myself, brought me many opportunities to explore the world, and share the same joy it brings me with students of all ages through music education.

One very important (if not identifying) factor in my drumming style comes from my background in rudimental/marching percussion. You can read all about my drumming background here, which will get you up to speed on how I got connected with the Arizona drumming community.

Cutler Boughn, director of Breakthrough and a colleague of mine, approached me to redesign their existing site with hopes of having a password-protected "Members Only" page where he can upload new music for the members to download, post announcements for the group, and even collect online payments. In addition, they wanted a streamlined, contemporary look to their site. It was a lot of fun doing this project and really brought my career full circle by connecting my two passions.

New website, new me!

I'm pretty excited to debut the new web site. I am hosting my site through Squarespace. I highly recommend this platform for anyone looking to create a clean, easy to use, and professional website. It takes a few hours to get a feel for the design palette, and I am definitely still learning a lot about all the great things I can do with it, but I am starting to get the hang of it now.

Feel free to browse around, sign up for my weekly newsletter, scout some upcoming shows, listen to some tunes, and provide any feedback you may have.

I realize I am not perfect at anything, especially web design. Which is why I am totally open to any constructive criticism you may have to help me make my site better for you!

Thank you in advance for all your support, friendship, and time.

Much Love,

Nick Arocho
